Procore Tower Dog Park
The employees at Procore Tower had a problem: they had a “bring your dog to work” policy, but the nearest green space was blocks away. The solution was a design intervention on the existing second floor rooftop courtyard, which would allow speedy “relief” to four legged friends.
Plantiquity designed a secure enclosure that carefully stitched together the older courtyard with new functionality for fido. While not our first dog park, it was the first on a roof, which brought some unique challenges. We specified K9 Grass for its antimicrobial properties, and conducted a suns/shade study to determine which plant species would survive in a canyon-like environment. Making a fun and vibrant environment was a high priority, so we coordinated with Ion Art for an eye-catching mural, specified bespoke pop-art doggy bag dispensers, and introduced a vertical green element with a vine wall. And of course, no dog park is complete without a faux fire hydrant!
